#1. Customisable

Tonon’s modular shelving system is 100% customisable. Using 3D imaging of the customer’s facility, Tonon can manufacture the ideal shelving system. Depending on the space of the room, up to 90% of the room can be utilised with Tonon’s shelving system. The shelving system can either be fixed or mounted on wheels to facilitate greater utilisation of space. Dimensions are variable based on the customer’s needs and requirements.

Lengths range between 400 mm and 1525 mm. Fixed bay widths range between 300 mm and 600 mm. Mobile bay widths range between 450 mm and 600 mm. Fixed bay heights range between 1550 mm and 2450 mm. Mobile bay heights range between 1550 mm and 2450 mm (top rail only). While the dimensions per bay are fixed, there is no limit on the number of bays you can install. The customisation is infinite.

#2. Food friendly

The modular shelving system is crafted from food grade materials that are hygienic and antibacterial. This is important for preparation sites where both hot and cold foods will be used. Tonon has received certifications to reassure its customers about the food safety features of the shelving system. Tonon’s modular shelving system is compliant with European Food Safety Authority’s Food Contact Materials provisions (regulations 1935/2004 CE and 2023/2006 CE) and NSF Ansi Standard 02 (America, Africa, Asia and Oceania).

The shelving system is also available in a colour coded range to help users segregate foods to prevent cross contamination and placement errors. Corner configurations can also be installed to maximise space usage by using corner brackets instead of frames which securely lock into neighbouring shelves.

This makes cleaning easy as the shelving system can be easily detached and cleaned without much effort. The slats of the shelves are easily removable for cleaning. The lowest shelf is raised off the ground by 320 mm which promotes easy cleaning of the floor with a mop or broom. Due to the nature of the materials used, the shelves do not require harsh abrasives or chemicals for cleaning.
